COVID-19 in 2021: Updates From the LA County Department of Public Health with Lonnie Resser. 


Lonnie Resser, MPH (she/her), is a Health Program Analyst for the West and South LA Regional Health Office with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, where she is responsible for identifying and addressing public health issues specific to the West Los Angeles Region. Lonnie has previously worked as a Health Educator with the Department of Public Health in the Division of HIV and STD Programs, facilitating theory-based health education trainings, and with the Division of Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health, creating, implementing, and evaluating a text message-based health education program called Choose Health LA Moms. Prior to working with the Department of Public Health, Lonnie was the Event and Volunteer Coordinator for A Window Between Worlds, a nonprofit dedicated to using art as a healing tool for survivors of trauma. Lonnie received her BS degree in Health: Science, Society and Policy with a minor in Women’s and Gender Studies from Brandeis University, and her MPH with a concentration in Community Health Sciences from UCLA’s Fielding School of Public Health.
